Mute Swan

Tucson, AZ-based shoegaze/dream-pop project, Mute Swan announced its signing to Hit the North Records in October 2025, sharing its first single for the label, "Hypnosis Tapes" – supported at Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit, Wastoids and more. The new music is the first from Mute Swan since their acclaimed debut album, Only Ever which found the band fans at The FADER, KEXP and Merry-Go-Round Magazine. It also arrives following recent slots opening for the likes of Horse Jumper of Love, Wednesday, Tanukichan and Peel Dream Magazine as well as performing at Levitation Festival.

Mute Swan are Mike Barnett (guitar/vocals), Prabjit Virdee (bass, vocals), Thomas Sloane (guitar) and Gilbert Flores (drums). We’ll have more to share from Mute Swan in 2026.
